3rd May sees the start of Hedgehog Awareness Week, organised by BHPS. Expect to hear about hedgehoggy efforts up and down the country as well as ways to increase hedgehog friendliness .

Ready your drills and get out your saws, this month’s tip is to create a ‘Hedgehog Highway’. To encourage hedgehogs to your local area, one of the best things you can do is improve habitat connectivity by creating a small 13cm x 13cm hedgehog hole to link up neighbouring gardens.Read more about creating a Hedgehog Highway here
