It is reported that the pupils at Woodside Primary School in Goffs Oak held a protest against single-use plastic in the local community. Inspired by young activists like Greta Thunberg the children have become passionate about tackling climate change and want everyone to play their part. They are aiming to ban single-use plastic in their school.
Pupils organised a peaceful demonstration near the school in Jones Road on Tuesday (28 January) in a bid to encourage people to be more eco-friendly. In particular, they want their fellow pupils to ditch single-use plastic in favour of reusable alternatives, which are better for the environment.
Well done Woodside and keep it up!
