Many of the members and residents of Goffs Oak has continued to express their concerns regarding the site of what was Fairmead and Rosemead Nurseries on Cuffley Hill. This application was presented earlier last year for 58 dwellings and parking for 156 vehicles, which was not accepted. On November 29th a revised plan was submitted. The layout has been noted with some slight changes. It must be remembered that the original BoB Local plan was for 26 dwellings to be built on this rural site.
The proposed access road is narrow, and with the proposed parking spaces now being reduced in the flats and smaller dwellings, parking on the access road will cause a problem. With 50 to possibly 150 cars exiting in the morning onto Cuffley Hill, there will be some congestion.
We urge you to speak and write to your Councillor and M.P Charles Walker, if you have any concerns. Check the Broxbourne website to see when the application is to be presented. It seems that it may be the February meeting. Once we hear we will pop on the website, however it is often with a few days notice.
