Volunteers from our community came together on Sunday morning for the Goffs Oak litter pick. In two short hours, we picked up 20 bags full of litter from the sides of our streets, left behind on playgrounds and parks, and blown by the wind into bushes and trees.
We even cleaned up the bus stop in the village centre, de-weeded the flower beds and cut back bushes too.
All in all, a fantastic effort by everyone who spent their Sunday morning giving back to the community.
We are grateful for the Goffs Oak Comrades Club that welcomed the volunteers for some warming coffee and tea (and malted chocolate biscuits for the kids).
