Two members of the Goffs Oak Community Association attended th Goffs Oak and West Cheshunt Area Forum on Wednesday 3rd April 2019.
This meeting is organised by the Broxbourne Borough Council and gives local residents a chance to ask any question with regard to issues that might might concern them. It also gives residents the chance to meet the local Council, County and Police representatives. Unfortunately there were only seven residents in attendance.
The agenda included the following items -‘ Improving your local area’, an update of the Local Plan, a police update on crime and the latest position with regard to the status of Woodside school.
There is a continuing concern with anti social behaviour around Brookfield Farm and the area between the Flamstead End service station and Westmede Close. Off road bikes are also a problem in which the police are trying to resolve.
The Council have a local ‘small scale’ community grant of £25,000 for safety and area improvement schemes.
There are a number of Spring/Summer town centre events and community events taking place. A list can be found on the Broxbourne Council website, http://www.broxbourne.gov uk
