Murray Scott a long term resident of Goffs Oak is well known locally for promoting environmental issues in the local community. Murray was also the Chair of our Goffs Oak Community Association (GOCA) for many years leading on all sorts of matters relating to Goffs Oak. Additionally, Murray is a Trustee for Cheshunt Common and continues to play an active role in the voluntary sector of the Lea Valley Regional Park. All on a voluntary basis.
Murray whilst he was instrumental with the setting up and continuous management of the flower beds in the centre of our village as part of the GOCA, he remains as part of the voluntary team maintaining the colourful display over the summer months. Murray also is a fastidious litter picker collecting tons of litter from the local area and even sorting out the excessive street furniture we find ourselves being bamboozled by developers promoting their new houses.
So it was no surprise last week to see him going into the Council Offices in Cheshunt for the Safety and Environmental meeting clutching his Award. Well done Murray! and thank you Broxbourne Council for acknowledging his hard work.
